Dr. Hemant Sharma has over 22 years of experience (10 years in India and 12 years in England) in the field of orthopaedic and is a certified Fellow by Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr. Sharma qualified from the PGIMS Rohtak in 1994 and his higher orthopaedic and trauma training was from India and England and specialist training has been an accumulation of fellowships in the UK. This education continues with regular attendance both as a delegate and faculty member at national and international meetings.
He specialises in adult reconstructive orthopaedic, joint replacements, tumour and musculoskeletal problems in post polio and cerebral palsy. He does lot of redo-trauma cases and sports injuries which involve single or multiple ligament reconstructions and joint saving procedures in younger patients with arthritis. He also operates on teenagers with problems like hip dysplasia, when the hip doesn’t fit properly into the socket, or slipped capital femoral epiphysis or SCFE, when the growth plate slips off the end of the thighbone. He also has significant experience in patients with sickle cell disease where joints are damaged.
